Every worthwhile adventure has small, medium, and large goals. Well, here is our “Ultimate Dream” – at least one of them anyway…
The beauty and simplicity of Chiron’s work is that we are flexible, portable, and able to integrate our services into resources already in place - we literally meet those in need where they are at, on all levels. However, every organization needs a home, and our “Ultimate Dream” is to develop a self-sustaining, state-of-the-art educational campus on the grounds of a working ranch. That’s right, we want Chiron’s Headquarters nestled in an outdoorsman’s paradise surrounded by the best fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, trail running, snow shoeing, and every other weekend warrior’s dream activity. Hey, you have to get your training and continuing education anyway, right?! Why not spend 3 – 5 days in paradise on a beautiful ranch that doubles as a state-of-the-art conference center – complete with a mess hall, indoor/outdoor fitness center, media complex, cabins/bunk houses, a chapel, horse and livestock facilities, an organic farm, giant fire pits, and an old fashion western town featuring shops (blacksmith, glass, leather, wood, ceramics, & crafts) where you can literally create your very own souvenirs. Kind of like a camp for grown-ups that just so happens to offer the ultimate in front line responder-specific behavioral health research and development, education and outreach, and clinical programs. Sounds pretty awesome, eh?! Well, we will still need that pesky $10 million-ish to purchase and develop our own permanent home, but starting at Arrowhead Ranch in 2017 gives us the absolutely perfect launching pad! We’ll keep you posted on our progress as we continue actualizing our Ultimate Dream - Chiron Ranch. |
