Medford Police Department
Wellness and Safety Program (WASP) The Almeda Fire of 2020 devastated our hometown of Phoenix, Oregon as well as the neighboring town of Talent. Public safety professionals throughout the Rogue Valley were profoundly affected by this unprecedented firestorm and “out of the ashes” the Medford, OR Police Department (MPD) created an integrative Wellness and Safety Program (WASP) for their personnel and their loved ones, asking Chiron to become one of their founding collaborators. This partnership has led to over 60% of the agency’s employees and loved ones regularly visiting the Ranch for behavioral health support, workshops, and Family Days. The tradition continues strong in 2022 including department-wide resilience trainings; peer support and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training and clinical direction; and ongoing Ranch-based activities and support. We are incredibly proud to be serving our hometown responders and look forward to an ever-deepening collaboration with the dedicated MPD men, women, and their loved ones. |
