The 2019 CRT Training, Class #25 date is still TBD, but will most likely be the first weekend in November. As soon as the date is finalized, it will be posted. To get started...applications can be downloaded HERE. Candidates must successfully attend all three days to be eligible for Team member consideration. Class size is limited to the first 30 qualified applicants, and up to 18 hours of continuing education may be available for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs.
The training will feature guest speakers from Police, Fire, and Sheriff’s Departments; The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office; The Rape Treatment Center; Our House (children’s experience of grief and loss); Survivors After Suicide; Compassionate Friends (parents’ experience of the death of a child); Sojourn (domestic and family violence); and other specialists in the field of traumatic loss. In order to become eligible to join the Crisis Response Team, candidates must effectively attend all three days (21 hours total) of the CRT training, as well as successfully pass: a written exam, performance evaluations, and a security screening including fingerprinting.
